The Harry S. Truman Scholarship

The Truman Scholarship is awarded to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential and commitment to a career in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education, or elsewhere in public service. The scholarship provides financial support for graduate study.

To Apply

Please print out the Faculty Letter and give it to a faculty member who may be willing to write a letter of recommendation. Complete the Pre-application Form and return it to the Office of National Scholarships, CUE 414 by November 3, 2008.

Harry S. Truman Scholarships for graduate study are awarded to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential and commitment to career in government, the nonprofit or advocacy, education, or elsewhere in public service. Frederick Slabach, Executive Secretary for the Truman foundation will be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions.
